What is therapy?

How do I choose the right therapist?

When choosing a therapist, prioritize someone who exudes warmth and compassion. Look for someone who makes you feel understood and valued. Seek out a therapist whose approach feels supportive, creating a safe space for you to explore your emotions and experiences. Trust your intuition and choose a therapist with whom you feel comfortable and respected!

TeleHealth

Telehealth involves delivering healthcare services and consultations remotely through digital communication technologies. Services are provided through platforms that ensure patient information is securely transmitted and protected, and maintain confidentiality and privacy according to the standards set by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

Please note, that sessions will be primarily provided by video. In certain cases, sessions can be completed via telephone. Please discuss this further with your provider should you have any questions.

Insurance

We do not currently accept insurance. If you have a PPO plan and wish to file a claim for out-of-network reimbursement, I can provide you with an invoice to provide to your insurance. It is strongly advised that you confirm your out-of-network benefits with your insurance provider before beginning therapy. Be aware that submitting a claim may require us to provide a mental health diagnosis.

Cancellation Policy

A 24 hour notice of cancellation is required or you will be responsible the full fee for your session. Exceptions may be made in case of emergencies at your provider’s discretion. Please contact your provider as soon as possible.

Emergencies

Emergency mental health services are not available. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please dial 911, 988, or proceed to the nearest emergency room for immediate assistance. It's important to prioritize your safety and well-being during times of crisis.
